Tips and Tricks for Virtual Job Searching

All U-M career fairs will be conducted virtually this year. You may be wondering many things: How will this impact my job search? What should I wear? What expectations are there compared to in-person recruiting? Jodie Broadwater (BSE CE 2000), IT Delivery Manager at Ford Motor Company, will answer these questions and share her insight as a recruiter and engineer. Come prepared with your questions to ensure you’re ready for the upcoming fall career fairs! Zoom information will be shared via email as the event approaches.

Jodie Broadwater is an IT Delivery Manager at Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI.  She received her B.S.E in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2001 and was hired into the Ford College Graduate (FCG) rotational program following graduation.  During her thirteen year career at Ford, she completed her M.S. in Information Systems and Technology (IST) from University of Michigan – Dearborn in 2010, earning the IST Department Honor Scholar award in her graduation year.  Additionally, Jodie has held various roles within IT during her career, including Business Analyst & Project Manager.  She served as a member of the FCG Advisory Board and led the Business Analyst Community of Practice.  Jodie is lead recruiter for the Ford IT U of M Recruiting Team.   She is a key member of the U of M Engineering Career Resource Center Advisory Board.
