This presentation will detail several practical techniques to maximize dynamic range of wireless systems per unit consumption. Examples will include system architecture, low power circuit design, interfaces, built-in-self calibration implemented in CMOS technologies. It will cover a wide variety of techniques ranging from radio system design/architecture, circuits, low external components, demonstrating integrated solutions operating at low MHz to mmW systems.
Sudipto Chakraborty is a senior member of technical staff at the Texas Instruments working in the embedded RF area. He received the B.Tech degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in 1998, and the Ph.D degree from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2002. He has held several industry positions including with Wipro Infotech, National Semiconductor and IBM Watson research center. Since 2004, he joined Texas Instruments, Dallas, where he leads development of various embedded wireless systems ranging between sub 1MHz up to 80GHz. He has participated in 10+ product family developments, authored and co-authored several patents, papers and books. He is an adjunct professor at the Southern Methodist University teaching circuit design courses, and serves on the program committees for various IEEE conferences and journals.
