Research Group on Quantum Communication

SHARE:

An interdisciplinary group of faculty & students studies problems in quantum information theory with a focus on quantum communication. Specific goals for the group include: (1) developing protocols for quantum cryptography, (2) estimating numerical invariants associated to quantum channels (such as channel capacity), and (3) studying the use of quantum entanglement as a communication resource.
Our meetings start officially at 10:20am. All faculty and graduate students are welcome to attend.

At the meeting on September 19th, Carl Miller will discuss some research on self-testing quantum states. (Reference: "robust self-testing quantum states and binary nonlocal XOR games" by C. Miller and Y. Shi. arXiv:1207.1819.)
