Low Power System On A Chip Design

Gordon Mortensen

Reducing power consumption in System On A Chip Designs is a important design objective. This talk will overview the importance of low power products, the sources of power consumption in SOC products and discuss what should be done and what is being done at National Semiconductor to reduce power consumption in SOC designs.
Gordon Mortensen is the Director of IA Chipset Design in the Information Appliance Group at National Semiconductor in Santa Clara, California. He has worked at National Semiconductor for 20 years in engineering management, as a design engineer, and as a product engineer. He received a BSEE degree from the University of Utah in 1982.
