2023 EECS Outstanding Achievement Awards
The EECS Department has honored four faculty for their sustained excellence in instruction and curricular development, distinguished participation in service activities, or for their significant achievements in scholarly research.
Four faculty have received an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. The award recognizes individual faculty for special contributions made in teaching, research, and/or service.
The recipients of the 2023 EECS Outstanding Achievement Award are:
David Fouhey
For contributions to computer vision research and education, and support of the CSE graduate student community.
Amir Kamal
For contributions to CS curriculum: as instructor, course designer, and leader of the CS program committee.
Mackillo Kira
For groundbreaking work contributing to Semiconductor-Based Quantum-Information Engineering.
Louise Willingale
For exceptional contributions to research and education in laser-plasma science.
