Powering Tomorrow, Support ECE Today!
Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) leadership is committed to ensuring our legacy of excellence. Our priority continues to be supporting our world-class students and faculty.
As we continue to improve and expand our capabilities, philanthropic support is more important than ever. All gifts make a difference here at ECE.
ECE Fund– With an area as broad as Electrical and Computer Engineering, our faculty and students get involved in far-reaching and diverse activities. The ECE fund supports a wide variety of educational activities and initiatives, including research and professional opportunities for our students, community outreach, engagement of strategic partners, as well as a wide variety of initiatives developed to improve the educational experience of our students, and recognize and retain outstanding faculty and students.
ECE Junior Faculty Enhancement Fund– It is often our young faculty that blaze new trails and pave the way for wide-ranging applications from single discoveries. In recognition of the importance of our younger faculty, we established this expendable fund to support our junior faculty. Their impact as role models, leaders, and innovators cannot be overstated. Supporting this fund will allow us to be more competitive in recruiting and retaining the best and brightest individuals – which is critical to our continued success.
ECE Scholars Fund– This fund provides financial awards to offset the cost of tuition for ECE undergraduate and graduate students allowing our students to focus on their academic pursuits.
ECE Student Enrichment Fund– In recent years, we have financially supported more than a dozen student teams and groups, sent students to leadership conferences, and offered departmental awards to some of our top students. The teams are competing and winning national and international contests. Our student groups provide Tech Talks and other professional opportunities as well as friendship and camaraderie. Supporting this fund allows us to continue and expand upon these activities.
ECE impacts health, energy, communication, electronics, security, transportation, consumer products, and much more. Our research leads to safer medical testing and improved diagnoses, greater energy efficiency, clearer communication, smarter electronics, more intelligent transportation, new sensors, and so much more.
On behalf of our students and faculty, thank you – and Go Blue!
