Research Group on Quantum Communication

SHARE:

An interdisciplinary group (EECS & Math) has formed to study research problems in quantum information theory. We focus on problems in quantum communication. Specific goals include: (1) computing invariants associated to quantum channels (such as channel capacity), (2) developing models for secure (private) communication, and (3) studying the use of quantum entanglement as a communication resource. All faculty and graduate students are welcome to attend. At the meeting on January 25th, Mary Wootters will give a presentation focusing on the paper "generalized Bell-inequality experiments and computation" by M. Hoban et al. (Phys. Rev. A 84, 062107 (2011).)
