MRI scanners essentially collect samples of the 2D Fourier transform of
the magnetization of the object being scanned. For some types of scans
the samples can be misaligned, leading to undesirable aliasing artifacts
called "nyquist ghosts" if uncorrected. This talk will show how physics
and signal processing can be combined for ghost busting.
Joint work with Antonis Matakos and Jon Nielsen, but any bad jokes are
entirely the responsibility of the speaker.
