Coffee Hour and Quiz Bowl

The GSC is hosting a coffee hour tomorrow 2/5 at 5:00pm in the EECS atrium. Drinks and refreshments will be provided.

During the coffee hour, at 5:30pm, we'll hold a quiz bowl competition, where you can compete in teams of 1-3 people (feel free to form a group before or at the coffee hour) to solve riddles like:

1. What connects the following things?
Potassium
Baseball strikeout
Black ink
Temperature

2. What comes next?
A is greater than B
A or B
A is smaller than B
_______________

At 5:30pm we'll start with a preliminary round where we'll give a list of problems to each team. At 6:00pm, we'll score the results, and the top 4 teams will have the chance to compete in a short elimination tournament for prizes!

The format of the quiz bowl is inspired by the BBC show Only Connect. If you don't want to participate, feel free stick around and cheer on your fellow students!
