Join Tech for Social Good for a multi-disciplinary discussion with faculty from EECS, UMSI, and the Law School, as well as the Chief Information Security officer of UM to talk about privacy in the world today. We’ll be discussing topics ranging from informed consent with regards to Terms and Conditions, the economic risks related to cyber attacks, if we really should have Alexas and Siris listening to us, how our data is being collected, used, and profited off of, what our rights are, what the priorities of the University of Michigan and the government are when it comes to our data security, how we can create more secure systems, and why we should be concerned with our privacy in the first place. There will also be food, so come and join us!
More info, including speakers, in the attached flyer. Food provided.
