Dr. Herron is the Director of the Frankel Cardiovascular Regeneration Core Laboratory at the University of Michigan. His lab derives new iPSC lines and specializes in cardiac directed differentiation. Dr. Herron has also developed novel high throughput screening methods using hiPSC-CMs to detect cardiotoxicity of compounds and environmental toxins. CARTOX, Inc. was co-founded by Dr. Herron-based on technological advances made at the University of Michigan.
