I will give a presentation about NACLO, the North American
Computational Linguistics Olympiad (www.naclo.cs.cmu.edu), a new
olympiad for high school students interested in Linguistics and
Computational Linguistics.

Specifically I will discuss how it started, how it was organized, how
the problem sets were created, and how the winners fared at the
international level.

After the presentation, I will go over some sample problems and
discuss the plans for new problems and problem genres to be put in
place in 2009 and 2010.

Anyone curious about NACLO or interested in getting involved with
NACLO is invited.
