Quantum Science Seminar
Research Group on Quantum Communication
An interdisciplinary group of faculty & students studies problems in quantum information theory with a focus on quantum communication. Specific goals for the group include: (1) developing protocols for quantum cryptography, (2) estimating numerical invariants associated to quantum channels (such as channel capacity), and (3) studying the use of quantum entanglement as a communication resource.
All faculty and students are welcome to attend. At the meeting on February 7th, Carl Miller will discuss the paper "full randomness from arbitrarily deterministic events" by R. Gallego et al. (arXiv:1210.6514)
