Research Group on Quantum Communication
An interdisciplinary group (EECS & Math) has formed to study research problems in quantum information theory. We focus on problems in quantum communication. Specific goals include: (1) computing invariants associated to quantum channels (such as channel capacity), (2) developing models for secure (private) communication, and (3) studying the use of quantum entanglement as a communication resource. All faculty and graduate students are welcome to attend. At the meeting on June 13th, Evan Noon will present the paper "extended GHZ n-player games with classical probability of winning tending to 0" by M. Boyer. (arXiv:quant-ph/0408090)
