Model-based Image Reconstruction Using Optimization Methods

his seminar will begin with an overview of how image reconstruction problems are formulated as optimization problems. Then I will summarize a recent optimization method developed in our group that is useful for such problems and that converges faster than Nesterov's famous fast gradient method. The method is useful for a variety of applications in signal processing and machine learning.
