Event: 1st Annual MIPSE Graduate Student Symposium

The 1st Annual Michigan Institute for Plasma Science and Engineering (MIPSE) Graduate Student Symposium will be held 29 September 2010 (3-7 pm). The Symposium will be an opportunity for graduate students involved in plasma research and students pursuing the Graduate Certificate in Plasma Science and Engineering to present the results of their investigations.

The Symposium will begin with a special MIPSE seminar by Dr. Bruce A. Remington of the Inertial Confinement Fusion Program at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory: "from High Energy Density Laboratory Astrophysics to Extreme Materials Science: Pushing the Frontiers of Experimental Science" . Student presentations (oral and posters) will follow Dr. Remington’s seminar.
