ECE Iftar

SHARE:

The ECE division invites you to celebrate our students cultural diversity by attending an Iftar dinner on Wednesday, May 22nd, at 9:00 pm in the EECS atrium. Iftar is the evening meal marking the end of daily Ramadan fasting at sunset.

Ramadan is the 9th month of the Islamic calendar, and is celebrated by many worldwide. During Ramadan (from a root meaning scorching heat or dryness), observers fast while the sun is out, not consuming any food or water.

Michigan ECE is committed to celebrating the diversity of our campus community. This is part of a series of programming designed to celebrate this diversity along with our Lunar New Year and Diwali festivities among others. We welcome all from the ECE Community to participate in our Iftar reception. Dinner will be available at sunset (tentatively 8:56 pm) and is anticipated to be provided by Al-Ameer restaurant.

There is no cost to attend, but registration is encouraged.
