Dr. Katherine Herrick is ECE’s 2020 Alumni Merit Award winner. 

Katherine J. Herrick, Director of Enabling Technology at Raytheon Technologies, will discuss her 20+ year career leveraging her PhD work from The University of Michigan. She will provide a perspective on microelectronics trends and discuss some of the challenges we face today.

Bio

Katherine Herrick is Senior Fellow and Director of Advanced Enabling Technology at Raytheon Technologies. Before joining Raytheon in 2001, she earned her B.S.E.E., M.S.E.E., and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Some of Herrick’s key awards include Outstanding Young Engineer Award of the IEEE MTT-S, National Academy of Engineering Frontiers of Engineering, and Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems President’s Award. Herrick is a Senior Member of IEEE, has published over 50 technical papers, and holds several patents in the areas of antennas, RF MEMS packaging, and microwave circuits.
