Subhajit Mohanty
Doctoral student
Electrical & Computer Engineering
Anticipated Graduation: April 2023

Research
Research Area: Solid-State Devices and Nanotechnology
Advisor: Prof. Elaheh Ahmadi
Research project: Subhajit’s research project is to improve power-frequency performance of high electron mobility transistors, which are essentially transistors used in power amplifiers, radars to operate at very high frequency (GHz). Improving power capability improves the efficiency of communication by requiring less energy while at the same time achieving long range communication. Frequency enhancement is important as it improves the high speed data exchange and bandwidth for the same reason we are gradually going from 3G to 4G to 5G technology.
