Research Area: Signal & Image Processing and Machine Learning
Co-Advisors: Prof. Laura Balzano and Prof. Peter Seiler
Research Project: Newton’s research lies in machine learning for control systems. She is focusing on the problem of nonconvex optimization in relation to reduced-order modeling for large-scale systems, and specifically to cooperative wind farm control.
