Graduate School for Current U-M Undergraduate Students

The department offers two special programs for current undergraduate students studying at the University of Michigan to facilitate getting a master’s degree.

5 year UG/Master’s degree program

Current undergraduate students can take advantage of the Sequential Undergraduate/Graduate Studies (SUGS) program to get their undergraduate and master’s degrees in 5 years. Learn about the SUGS program >

3.4 Program

Current undergraduate students with at least a 3.4 GPA can apply for admission to the master’s program without taking the GRE or sending in letters of recommendation. Learn about the 3.4 program >

NOTE: Standard MS applications are only processed annually (Jan 15 deadline to start in following Fall). SUGS and 3.4 applications are processed in both Fall and Winter semesters.
