Grid Alternatives for Sustainable Energy

The ECE division provides financial support to students and student organizations interested in sending members to a variety of national conferences. We also support students who are performing outreach around the world.

ECE students include undergraduate students in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, and graduate students in Electrical and Computer Engineering.

ECE supported students traveling to the following conferences and outreach programs in recent years:

  • Grid Alternatives: Students for Sustainable Energy
    • Travel to various low-income locations across the United States to install solar panels on homes
  • CSF Global Partnership (M-HEAL)
    • Travel to Bangladesh to conduct a needs assessment so they could make assistive devices for children with cerebral palsy
  • HonorsGO
    • Travel to Costa Rica to support turtle conservation, while volunteering in the community
  • SWE Team Tech: The team partnered with Northrop Grumman to reduce the sound emissions from a 3-D printed unmanned aerial vehicle.
